Live roasting
Every roaster gets 30 minutes to analyse the competition coffee, plan the roast and fill in their Roast Plan. On the scoresheet they also mark the flavour profile they expect, which the jury then compares with its own assessment. The roasting itself follows on the competition Aillio Bullet R2. Every roaster has 70 minutes and may do one to three roasts, then picks one of them for judging.

Analysing the green coffee and building your own roast plan. We check how well you can plan a roast profile for the competition coffee and predict the result and the flavour.

You turn your planned profile into reality. We check your roasting skills and your ability to pick the roast that comes closest to the sensory prediction in your Roast Plan. This sample goes to the jury for judging.

- 120 €entry fee excl. VAT
- 30 Sep 2026entry deadline
- Anyone may enter regardless of age. The requirement is work in a roastery or hands-on coffee roasting experience of at least one year.
- To confirm your place you must pay the entry fee no later than 14 days before the competition.
- If the payment does not arrive in time, the place is released and offered to the next roaster on the reserve list.
- By paying the fee you accept all the conditions set out in the rules.

Can I enter as a hobby roaster?
The competition is for professional roasters with at least one year of active roasting.
Is Friday's training mandatory?
Yes. The training day on 6 November is a condition of entry and prepares you for working with the Aillio Bullet and RoasTime.
Can international roasters enter?
Yes. The competition is open to roasters from all over Europe and the training is held in English.
How many attempts do I get?
There is no limit on attempts within the 70-minute slot. You submit one final sample.
